Last Parade

Last Parade
So let’s pretend
we are camouflaged action superheroes.
Their ample annual coverage
an advertisement for chiseled cheekbones
stony stares
same-styled bristled buzzcuts
body squared to the front
stomachs in, chest out.
Plastic legs shoulder width apart.
A public display of their self assured, sizable manhood
Customer satisfaction guaranteed.
So we pretend
Her blanketed night sky is concealing
expressions of non expression.
Tensingly untensed facial muscles.
She aids us [...]

Like a cicada trapped within a fan

July 2, 2004

Like a cicada trapped within a fan
stupid morbid
cockroach bodied
fly headed
zoo exhibit
light chaser
don’t you ever learn?
irritating everyone
noticed by none.
kamakazi instincts only brings you closer
to the rotor blades of death
pretty fly,
how many times must your wings be clipped
before you realize escape is impossible?
and death is inevitable?

silenced forever
morning dewed sunray
rainbowed spectrums
refracting from those
motionless webbed wings.
sigh
if only

me [...]

Nang Seng
Name
the number of sea shelled shocked silenced scales
adorning this beast beached by a springtime’s ebb

I’ve often wondered,
well, with it looking cramped up in an imaginary block and all,
what was its previous form?
A [...]

Phrenology

Phrenology
Fated fingertips,
slenderly tracing your aggressor’s chiseled cheekbones.
Your thumbs massages
the hollow of his eyes,
strokes
the dimples of his cheeks,
engraving his wrinkles of age
and frowns of sorrow.
Gently you cradle his head
in your bosom,
clenching him tight against your breasts.
The stench of his grease stained locks
emphasizes his presence
and your right to touch him.
You tugged his head back and exposed the [...]

Coyote Ugly

July 2, 2004

Coyote Ugly – for Hideki
in the picture perfect world of a cartoon drawn out lives
with its saturated hues of rocks
and formations which stays perfectly balanced
atop immensely phallic symbols
my inadequacies cannot compare
to your head burying oblivion
my neck’s grown so long in yearning waiting beside the basalt rocks
with sweat trickling determination
and canned laughter inducing obstinacy
my finger on [...]
