Holidays are here to stay!
1. Assessments
Assessment set up is finally over, as i type this, our assesors are probably making their rounds of our work. I kind of appreciate them for bearing with the tedium of assessment. Imagine having to go through and assess all 114 of us within a day. (yes results will be out tomorrow, and i'm holding my breath). Couldn't sleep the night before asessments because i was busy packing everything – hand drill for the wall, wrapping the mirror, going through again and again what needs to be brought. In the end i brought in total, 1 A4 box, one A3 plastic bag, 1 bag, 1 drill, 1 A1 size mirror, and two disco balls. I must say the taxi uncle was quite shocked that i could move them all.
Still worried even after assessments, “what if that mounting tape fails and the mirror crashes to the floor?” “can the hook and the chain hold the weight of the mirrorball?” “what if the black skirting cloth drops in the middle of the presentation?” … all the what ifs are driving me nuts!

Corner in the room

Point of purchase displays – two huge acrylic mirrorballs.

Window diplay promotional item – cannot see properly because of the reflection but that is actually a cracked mirror – sigh bad luck for 7 years i know….. the other side reads “repulsive reflection? seek salvation today!” a bit lame, but hey, i'm not trained in copywriting ok?

Other stuff that happened since i last blogged – no time to update cos too busy with assessments:
2. Sufian’s engagement!

My NS buddy Sufian is finally getting engaged to his lovely girlfriend! This is the first muslim engagement i've attended and it was really an eyeopener! Pictured is his bed full of gifts from his gal! Numbering up to 30 gifts in total! All decorated and lovely! I was seriously impressed – the extent of preparation that must have been done for this single day – i thought chinese wedding customs are a hassle, but this beats us hands down….. Anyhow – i'm so glad for him, and it was great catching up mith my NS friends again. All the best Mat Bud and AYU!
3. Flyover

4. Adidas

okie i know this has been at Queensway for ever, but i've just remembered to take a photo of it! I love the concept and the idea behind the campaign – a homage to the turn of the century war time paintings.
That's all for now…. i'lll probably be blogging more now that holidays are here….
