Hello from New York

It started snowing the day we arrived, so what greeted us was plains and pavements of snow snow snow…. really puts you in the christmas mood. As usual i'm sitting at the cafe of our hostel waiting for the princess and the queen to be ready for the daily excursion, so what better way to pas time than to spend it typing a journal entry.

MoMA was fantastic. i got there around 1 and stayed till closing time, its really the who's who of contemp art, everyone important is sortof represented, i felt like a kid let loose at a candy shop with so many choices i can't decide what to do first…. should it be picasso, monet, pollock or van gogh? Hmmmm….. i think its even better than the tate modern. The pollock room was the most overwhelming…. i've always wanted to see one close up…. and i can get so close i could feel my breath bouncing off the surface of his paints… how cool is that?

watched rent, its was fantabulous! fantastic! nothing beats watching rent in NYC itself, and walking out of the theatre into times square with snow gently falling onto the pavements, and the steam rising from the sewers…. The cast had robin de jesus from CAMP in it, as the waiter…. hahah… and the angel was fantastic, leaping from table to floor and doing chaines all on platform boots! whoa…… going to catch the film version too.

Going to do the rounds of the chelsea galleries today, and try for wicked's lottery today… highly unlikely to get…. two weeks is not enough! i can imagine spending two days stuck in the met, arggghhh……
