Slept the whole afternoon so can't sleep now, was surfing around when i found this article on the CEO of Abercrombie and Fitch, its freaky how the company functions! Makes for an interesting GK reading.

Watched Proof, its so so, gwyneth paltrow is still gwyneth paltrow, its her in sliding doors and whatever movie she's been in before, nothing's change, but i guess her “type” does serve a lot of stories yar? the akward blonde gal unlucky in love. Why do british directors love to use her in their films? I hated how they tried to make it and market it as a romantic comedy, its like the teenage version of a beautiful mind, hell even the university scenes looked a beautiful mindish.
Athony Hopkins was great though, and made up for the ticket price, he commands my attention whenever he steps on screen. Anyhow, it was good effort, but not enough to persuade me to like the movie, or perhpas reading the script before watching the movie does spoil the movie somewhat for you yar? like “he's already dead” or “she wrote it, not him”
last word: it works better as a play, and it should just stay that way.
Its CNY, January whooshed past like all januarys before, everyone's too caught up in celebrating the holidays jan brings and the adjustment to new beginnings to really notice time slipping by. Happy Chinese New Year! Celebrated the eve of CNY by making traditional Hakka dish of abacus seeds for lunch. Its a full day of preparation and cooking, including making the yam dough and shaping the individual balls of paste. Its my annual compensation for my lack of interest in my heritage and my dialect.
Tomorrow will be a full day of recalling long forgotten names of my extended family and relatives, trying to get used to aunties who have since married their then-boyfirends of years ago and getting used to addressing them in their new status as uncle. Tomorrow is also a celebration of month old grandsons, and a time to measure the growth of cousins in a span of a year.
eternal afternoon on hindsight sounds corny, extended afternoon should be a better term. photos were taken on a sunny morning actually – a 2 hour photography project to capture suspended time. My classmates fared better and there were some really great shots.
