Muffins and SSA

The end of sem celebrations were held in school yesterday, student work was showcased and so were the little class exercises we did in film class, Lincoln did a beautiful signage that could be broken up into little boxes containing our DVDs after the event, 25 boxes for 25 film majors.

Clocked 2 SIFF movies tonight, again unexpected ones:
Like a Virgin
Good technically, strong DP and good editing,
but theme feels too independent, too intimate
to be made in such a Korean Blockbuster way
with all the excessive large long crane shots.

Eternal Summer

*WARNING SPOILERS AHEAD*
Went to watch Eternal Summer yesterday night, I think it was a okayish to good film.
Technically the film was very well shot, nice contrast of visual foreground, background to create depth and dimension, and nice choice of colour contrast (the CSI yellow and blue) look to create dynamic images which stuck.
