London Day 5

Went to see Anthony Gormley with Brian and David…. amazing exhibition… too bad cannot take pictures inside, part of the outside work is the placing of these lead/ fibreglass statues all around the rooftops of surrounding buildings… its an amazing piece, here they are posing with one of the more accessible ones.

more of these men, the piece is called Event Horizon…. if you recall i posted this entry about this exhibition in lasalle with these mudpeople *see below*

its the same artist at work…. i see his work as more depressing and fatalistic this time, but different people see it differently
there’s just something quite disturbing about having figures at edges of buildings looking out.
After that went to watch West End Live, an outdoor event with different musicals putting on bits from their shows… Mama Mia came out in full force, complete with *i think* full cast, and costumes… david says its because their theatre is just 2 mins away on foot from Leicester Sq, which was where the event was.
And yes, we binged on Krispy Kremes… heeheeh
BFI had a booth at the event and they showcased this…. doesn't it look familiar to those folks taking Western Film History? yes its the predecessor to moving images, the praxi*** scope… can't remember actual spelling la…
rounded of the day watching Angels in America and going to Tate Modern for the Dali Film Exhibition… sigh… AinA was good, cast gave a lot to the audience, generally good vibe, but feels like it could have been better polished, it felt raw around the edges, and i didn’t like the production design. Too Pink and Fluro green….
waiting for laundry to get done…. churn churn churn…
tomorrow’s my last day in London…….
