Time

Haven’t been updating because i have been stuck in school! Rushing deadlines for shooting schedules, doing pre production and watching movies to be written about in undone essays.

No time to go home to upload and edit photos, type proper entries etc. Pleasure Factory opens today, thank you all who have dropped by and left comments and suggestions, i really appreciate the time you have taken to leave a note, even though i haven’t had time to read and reply properly to all of them.

If only i can have more time. Sigh.

The movie was kinda draggy at certain scenes, like as though I’m there sitting with the characters and going thru the whole thing, but but but~ it was a really good show~ I can relate to the characters emotions and all. And the Army Boy story has got many amusing dialogues.

Gladly, the “cadet” with the same vocation and name isn’t me. Else frens will start thinking so~ haha

Yea btw this is my 1st “Art” Flim~ And yes again, I think it’s good~!

    Hi Zhi Han,
I guess what made me watch Pleasure Factory was the fact that you’ve previously acted in Solos. I just had to see how someone of similar age act on the big screen.

While the cinematography could have been better (though I appreciate it in some ways … to capture the full essence of Geylang without too much disturbance to the area in the filming process), Pleasure Factory has indeed open up my eyes into the flesh trade in Singapore. In fact, I have always questioned, and that you have shown it in your role as an NSF, whether do prostitutes have feelings and preference towards their clients? It seems now there is.

And while others would applaud you for baring your physical self on screen, I must hail you on your constant efforts to give Singaporeans a glimpse into the elusive world of PLU life, and what actually goes in our minds. A gay man to the many straights is very much a grey area. The scene whereby your ‘camp buddy’ fantasizing you came as quite a shock feature, but was a pleasant surprise. Also, the fact that this scene could be screened in public goes to show that censorship has been kind to this production. :)

Like Royston Tan’s 881, which showcases Singapore’s past entertainment scene of ‘Ke Tais’, this one highlights of our local flesh trade industry. Yet another first for films based on/in Singapore.

We in are in the same industry of media/advertising. Hope to catch you in person someday. Cheers! Keep the film magic in Singapore alive. For now, be a good student. ;)

    Hi Zihan,

I just watched Pleasure Factory on Saturday and i think it was not too bad a film. I especially liked the first story and i feel it was the best bit of the entire movie. And a large part of that had to do with your acting. I think you are perfectly cast in the role! I chuckled a lot throughout the film. The last bit involving Kiat was a nice twist though a bit expected. Looking forward to seeing you on screen again soon and also looking forward to the international DVD release of Solos next year!

Hi there! Just to inform you that I really admire your courage in going frontal for the movie Pleasure Factory! Not many local people would actually dare to do such a thing, be it for the sake of art, or otherwise. Hope that your movie receives great reviews and becomes real successful!

    Take care as well.

    Hi Zihan,

Your twist involving Kiat really touches our PLU community deep within our hearts.
I believe a lot of “us” feels the same way too.
I thank you for showing a part of us to the society.

    Take care.

  12. loozihan Says:

thanks for all your encouraging comments :)

Nice acting in Pleasure Factory. The army boy is so cute and innocent, but is was kind of sad. Anyway, all the best to you and take care =)

  14. loozihan Says:

Thank you, why sad? Sad for Kiat isit? Jon was quite non-affected in the end. He got what he wanted :) didn’t he?
